This course emphasizes technological applications in the
areas of health care and personal services. Students will
learn to describe and evaluate professional practices and
principles; to select and use technical resources to solve
problems; and to use materials, tools, and equipment safely.
They will also acquire transferable skills for changing work
environments, personal management skills, and knowledge of
entry requirements for careers in this area.

learn techniques in hair styling and aesthetics

materials and equipment. Students will
identify trends in the hair styling and aesthetics
industry; describe scientific and physical
processes used in beauty services; learn to respect
environmental, health, and safety laws; and explore
career opportunities. The course may focus on
either hair styling or aesthetics, or may include a
combination of both areas.
