Is this scholarship right for me?

Applicants are required to write a 2500 word essay answering a question outlined by the AS Prime Minister Award Program. Full time undergraduate, or graduate student enrolled in a Canadian College or university, n the 2001-2002 school year are eligible for this scholarship.

Requirements:

Students are required to submit a 2500 word essay via mail or email. They should also include a brief submission of their extracurricular activities in school or community, an indication of how they learn of the program and a summary and explanation of awards, scholarships and previous degree that they have earned. Semifinalists will be required to make the trip to Toronto to the present their essays, attend social events and a dinner gala where 11 finalists will be chosen. The finalist’s will then travel to Ottawa to formally present their essays to the Prime Minister at Parliament Hill. They will be required to participate in various media activities, social events, and other functions with government members. Finalists receive $10,000 and a four month internship with Magna Internationals. The winner will receive an additional $10,000 and a one year internship with Magna International.
