Is this scholarship right for me?

 

This scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to First Nations status, non-status, Inuit, and Metis who have chosen to pursue post secondary studies in business, science, law, engineering, information technology, education, social work, and the social sciences. Post-secondary programs must be at least two years in length, at recognized Canadian technical CEGEPs, colleges and universities. Certificate or diploma programs, undergraduate and graduate degree programs are eligible. Candidates will be considered based on financial need, academic merit, and a commitment and dedication to their purposed field.

 

Requirements:

 

Applicants are required to submit the following:

ˇ        A completed application form

ˇ        Proof of aboriginal ancestry

ˇ        Proof of enrolment, or acceptance in their program or internship

ˇ        Most recent semester transcript

ˇ        Two current letters of support of your application from faculty or other professionals who are familiar with their work

ˇ        A résumé or CV and a recent photo of themselves

ˇ        A letter of personal introduction to the jury describing what they hope to achieve from this training and what it means to them personally
