Is this scholarship right for me?

 

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage disabled students to pursue university degrees. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents residing in Canada for at least two years. They must be enrolled in their first undergraduate degree program in any Canadian degree-granting institution. They must also demonstrate a “functional limitation” as defined on the application form.

 

Requirements:

 

Applicants are required to submit the following:

·        Four copies of their completed application form (available on the web or from the AUCC).

·        Two letters of reference, one from a teacher and the other from someone, other than a relative, who has known the applicant for at least one year.

·        A completed medical questionnaire.

·        Short 200 word essay outlining extracurricular activities and interests.

·        An official transcript.

·        Proof of admission at an eligible institution.

 

Note: The number of awards granted in any year depends on the amount of funding available. Applicants may re-apply for this scholarship proving they submit a new application and all pertaining documents.
