Special Basic Program

 Basic Level Program

This program addresses the individual needs of students who have been identified by an Identification, Placement and Review Committee (I.P.R.C.) as requiring education assistance beyond the regular school program.

 Special Basic Program

The Special Basic Program addresses the unique needs of specific students who have been identified by an Identification Placement and Review Committee (I.P.R.C.) as requiring assistance beyond the basic level program. The assistance provided, comes from the maintenance of small class sizes, the emphasis on the importance of social development and the adoption of programs to meet specific learning styles.

A full four year Special Basic program will lead a student to a Certificate of Education. If a student is successfully integrated into the basic program that student may retroactively convert all 0.5 credits to 1.0 credits. This makes it possible to recognize individual growth and for special basic students to earn a diploma.
