Math Circus

Create a game that asks children to answer randomly generated math questions. It should tell the children if they can the answers right or wrong and keep score. The game should continue until the child chooses to quit.

These questions can be:

adding questions -> What is 3 + 4?
multiplication questions -> What is 3 * 5?
counting questions -> How many clowns are on the screen?
comparison questions -> Which is bigger - 4 or 6? (Note that the random numbers must never be equal, you need to check for that).
subtracting questions -> What is 4 - 2? (Note: this is harder because you want only positive answers for a child).
division questions -> What is 4 / 2? (Note: this is also harder because every question must divide evenly so the child can answer it).
binary questions -> What is 8 in binary? and What is 10110 (bin) in decimal? (Randomly generate these...)

Some sort of incentive or storyline is more fun for a child. Some past examples included:

A haunted house where the child choose which room they wanted to enter. Each room had a different question type. After the child had gone in every room and answered 5 questions right in each room, they won the game.
A spy game where the child followed the spy along their mission, answering questions along the way. For example, they might need to crack the safe conbination by adding numbers to find the combination.
A birthday party planning session where the child earned things for their birthday party by answering different types of math questions correctly.
A RPG set up game - it doesn't play the RPG, it just outfits the character. In order to earn weapons and skills for your character, you have to answer questions correctly.

Marking

Level	Description
1	Randomly generated adding, multiplcation questions ASCII Art Titles Play continues until the user wants to quit. Title comments. (name, date, purpose)
2	All of level 1 and: Correct answer is displayed. Score is displayed
3	All of level 2 and: There is an overall scenario or storyline to make the game more interesting to the child. There is one additional question type: division, comparison, counting, subtraction, your own. Game continues until the user chooses to quit. Comments are used before major ifs and loops.
4	All of level 3 and: Well developed scenario and ASCII art to match. Allows the user to reset and play again.
4+	All of level 4 and: Extremely creative and unique. Fantastic reward system for the child and menus to navigate. Exceptionally user friendly. (lots of OR conditions for input).
