Mind Maps
A Mind Map is a way to organize your thoughts on a subject. It also provides
concrete visual cues to help your memory remember the items that you have put
on your mindmap. The "inventor" of Mind Maps is Tony Buzan.

Rule Summary
- must use colour
- lines thin out along the branches
- each branch has a distinct colour
- each term should have a picture
- writing size decreases along the branches
- try for 3 levels not including the middle
- the middle is in an interesting shape or picture
- skill at drawing is not an asset – bad drawings are easier to remember.
Assignment
- Your Mind Map topic is "Inheritance".
- You should have all of the major topics covered in this unit. (About 20-30
words) You may include information from outside the unit as well.
- You should have three levels, not including the centre bubble.
- Start by getting sticky notes and writing all of the terms on them. Arrange
them into groups and arrange the groups into a mind map.
- Arrange the terms onto a large sheet of paper and add the silly little drawings.
